How do I get something I can't see out of my eye?
There is something in my eye that I can't see that's driving me mad...it smarts and flushing with water does not work.

The sensation of a foreign body in the eye is very often a symptom of conjunctivitis - the infection is the "something you can't see." At any rate, flushing is the only method I would recommend for a foreign body, seen or unseen, that you want to remove yourself (althouth I would use artificial tears instead of water to reduce infection risk). Call your optometrist and ask to be seen ASAP!
