Anyone had lasik eye surgery?!

Question:

Anyone had lasik eye surgery?

what was it like? did it hurt? how much did it cost?

Answers:

I had Lasik back in 2001. Then it was just under two grand an eye, but it should be cheaper now. Price should not be an issue, however, as you want the best care possible. Check around to find which doctor is the most reputable.

You are sedated, but that is mainly to keep you calm rather than dull any pain, because there is practically none. The preparation will take some time, but the surgery itself is quite brief. Your eyes heal faster than almost any other organ, but take at least a day or two to recover. The only "healing" is your cornea reattaching itself.

The results? AMAZING! You never look back. Your time with contacts and glasses will become a vague memory quickly. I still see 20/20. The only potential drawback is slightly poorer night vision. This might have something to me just getting older (25 at the time of surgery, now 31).

Keep in mind that the cost of the surgery will pay for itself after you stop buying new glasses, contacts and/or solution.

Thank you for asking the question; I often forget that I even had the surgery. I take for granted how much of a difference it truly makes in life.
