Question:

How come my eyes are always watery?

Tears always come out of my eyes;i can only read through pages of a book or newspaper during the day.At night,i cant see the inscriptions as all write-ups appear blurred to me.I can not drive accurately at nights because of on-coming vehicle light. Is it astigmatism or what? Can someone advice me please..do i really have problems with my eyes.

Answers:

Ironically, excessively watery eyes are often caused by "dry eye" syndrome. My other guess is seasonal allergies, although the fact this is worst in the evening leads me toward the dry eye, as the eye surface gets progressively dryer during the day.

Head to the drugstore, pick up a package of non-preserved artificial tears (Visine tears or refresh tears) and use them as often as needed to restore comfort. If it is dry eye, this will help, and if it is allergic, it will rinse the allergens off the surface of your eye.

Finally, schedule a visit with your optometrist who can tell you for sure (and prescribe the proper treatment for either.)
