Did Pirates wear black patch on their right eyes for sake of night vision..?
so that this eye is always ready at night when needs arise for fighting action?
And I read too from YA answer that the WW2 pilots sat in completely dark room while waiting for night mission, so that their eyes too were always ready for action.
Are these myths or fact?
I really thought the pirates' eyes were wounded until now.
BTW: anyone has any information to share about the night vision gadget the soldiers use?

yes they do as proven on Mythbusters...tthey did a whole series on pirate myths and this was one...they had to run an obstacle course in the dark..when they did it with the uncovered eye they failed with the eye that had been covered it was no problem crazy but true....
