Eye Infection?!

Question:

Eye Infection?

My left eye is bloodshot, and my sister claims it has a yellow tint, but that was when I had my contacts in. She says that it looks like when her boyfriend had an eye infection.
Yesterday it looked fine until I put my contact in it (I tried a new one too) and then it turned bloodshot again.
I have glasses, so I decided that I should wear those for now.
What else can I do? And is it an infection?

Answers:

your eye got irritated and caused it to turn bloodshot..ive been wearing contact lenses and it happens to me a lot when im too lazy or too busy to remove them...by the time i do...its so irritated it turns red...sometimes it gets photosensitive and has some discharge.

an infection is caused by bacteria, virus or fungal...just soak your lenses in the solution and let it rest for three days...dont wear them till your eyes have taken a break.

it could resolve by itself..but you should really check with your eye doctor...and take extra precautions in the future so it doesnt happen too often...eye infections that turn it bloodshot...if its an i nfection hell prescribe an antibiotic eye cream...if you choose to not go to a doctor, just an eyewash to lubricate the eyes and take it easy.

the eyes are getting damaged little by little with those bad habits.
