Does O2 Optix lenses really fulfill its promises?!

Question:

Does O2 Optix lenses really fulfill its promises?

I had just used Acuvue Oasys contact lenses, and enjoyed them at greatly. But almost a year into wearing them, they started giving me terrible headaches and bloodshot eyes. [There was also discomfort when I put them in.]
So I've decided that I'm switching brands. Off of Acuvue.
I think I'm going to get a trial pair for O2 Optix lenses, except I was wondering if it actually comes with the benifits it claims.

Do O2 Optix lenses actually give you whiter eyes?
Is it any easier, compared to other lenses, to make it last a month? I heard it was approved for that long in Europe, but I wanna hear it from somebody who has actually worn the brand.
& Lastly, does O2 Optix come with the common discomfort at the end of the day? [Headaches, itchy/watery eyes, etc.]

Thanks for reading!

"Do O2 Optix lenses actually give you whiter eyes?"

versus previous non-silicone-hydrogel low-oxygen lenses like acuvue 2? YES. versus acuvue oasys (another silicone hydrogel)? no. same as acuvue oasys.

"Is it any easier, compared to other lenses, to make it last a month? I heard it was approved for that long in Europe, but I wanna hear it from somebody who has actually worn the brand."

no, its about the same. in the U.S. that lens is marketed as a "two week" lens, and in Europe its marketed as a "monthly".

"& Lastly, does O2 Optix come with the common discomfort at the end of the day?"

different for every single patient. if the discomfort at the end of the day is from HYPOXIA or low oxygen..then YES. but if you are already wearing oasys and are still getting discomfort at the end of the day, then no...it likely wont be much different for you than oasys was. if you're already wearing oasys and still getting end-of-day discomfort, then YOUR individual discomfort is probably not from hypoxia, and a switch to o2 optix probably wont help much.

oasys and o2 optix are certainly not the same lens...but they are comparable in my mind. VERY comparable. doubtful IMO that you will find too many differences in performance between those 2.

edit: i'm with browneyedgirl (as i frequently am!). oasys is our #1 seller by a long, long way
