Don't worry, Katie, I had the same problem when I just got my contacts a month ago. Now, I've gotten really used to using contacts and I can do it in a snap! Here's my daily routine: I wash my hands with a non-scented soap and dry my hands well on a lint-free towel. (This is for putting them in) I carefully take my contacts out of the case, and make sure they're in the right position: a bowl shape. If you put them in when they're flat around the edges, it will be wrong and they will feel really irritating the rest of the day! Then, I place one on the tip of my middle finger. With the index finger of my other hand, I pull my eyelashes back, and with the ring finger of the hand with the contact, I pull the bottom of my eyes down to create a space bigger than the contact's size. Slowly, I place the contact in my eye. It will stick, but don't blink right away or else it'll fall out. Open your eyes wide so the air bubbles will go away. Repeat for the other side. Now, for taking them out! Trust me, this is a whole lot easier than putting them in. I wash my hands and dry them again. With one hand, I pull the lower part of my eye down and with the index finger of my other hand, I touch the contact and pull it to the outside corner. Once it reaches that point, the contact itself will fold up and you can easily pinch it out! Ta-da! You'll get the hang of it in about 2 weeks. No problem! Just remember to be extra cautious now that you're using contacts and keep your nails short!!! I tore my left contact only a week after I got them. I hope this helps and best of luck!!!
