Do the new Acuvue "Oasys" contact lenses bother your eyes??

first of all, it irks me that they spelled oasis like that....but more importantly, these little bastards make my eyes itchy and slightly irritated. I've been wearing contacts for 9 years now and this is a new problemo that began when I switched to these lenses. I want to know if its my eyes/makeup or if the lenses just suck.

I reason I changed is because my doctor "updated" me from Acuvue II.

The reason there are so many different types of soft contact lenses on the market is exactly this. Acuvue Oasys lenses are probably one of my favorite to fit. The great majority of my patients LOVE this lens. But just about the time I think that I really don't need any other contact lens to fit, I'll put it on a patient and they literally HATE this lens. That's when I'm glad I have so many options available for my patients. So, if you have done well with other brands but are having problems with this one it just isn't the right contact for you. But that's ok. Just tell you eye doctor you would like to go back to a proven lens and my guess is your problems will resolve. Why do some like this lens and others don't? I really don't know for sure. You're just one of those who does better with a different brand.
