How much sleep is to much sleep?!


Question: i get like 12-13 hours and i feel in a fog all day and i can concentrate and i cant think...its really a horrible feeling is that to much sleep..can this be cuasing that

Your sleep hygiene is poor. too much sleep can cause problems as well as too little. Try going to bed at the same time each night and getting up at a regular time in the am-all 7 days of the week. Do not try to nap! You should need 8 or so hours of good sleep-depends on the person, age, weight. medications-including caffiene and nicotine, eating late at night , ect. There are numerous questions that need to be answered. Are you in school or working? Stressful job, home-life, If you try some of the above measures and doesn't seem to be helping-a sleep study may be needed-because you may not be getting quality sleep! Do you snore or sleep with a snorer? Last resort-sleeping pills-they cause a lot of side effects. You might try 3 mg of melatonin-natural substance you body makes-but it seems to help.

a lot of the times when you over sleep it causes you to feel even more tired...you become lethargic and such. try the normal 7-8 hours and see if it helps.

Um it really is all about how your body acts.
Like with my father, he must have 8 hours of sleep in order to stay awake all day.
me on the other hand if i have any more then 6 hours of sleep i will be tired all day.
most of my friends are like that to
any sleep over 6 hours and they are trashed for the day

10 is what is said to be good lately
maybe you should go for 9 or maybe even 8

what are you a sloth?!!!! you only need about 7-8 maybe 9 but you should start waking up at about 6 in the morning and go to the gym or something.
