Should I go on birth control?!

Question: If i forget to take ibuprofen before my cramps start on my period, my cramps hurt so bad, that I actually want to die. I have to stop whatever I'm doing, and this includes leaving school. Plus, this is really hard to do considering my cycles are really unregular so, I might start in the middle of school and not know. Then, my cramps would start, and one my cramps start, it takes a lot of ibuprofen and screaming to stop them.

It might be useful to take your mother with you to a doctors office and let the suggestion come from the doctor. That way your mother can't say you want it for sex. You might even ask the doctor in front of your mother if there is a birth control pill just for your problem and not for sex. It's a stupid question but may make your mother feel better. You need her support.
If the doctor suggests any solution other than birth control, go with it, it might work and your mother will be happy. If it doesn't work and you do need to use birth control your mother will know it's not the first thing you asked for.

Birth control pills can help regulate periods. Ask your ob/gyn. You should not have to suffer like that. The doctor might have other options for you.

It sounds like you might be a good candidate for birth control. It's definitely nice knowing exactly when it's going to start :) Visit with your doctor.

that is what my sister did, and it seemed to work, but you should ask your doctor first

I was just like you as a teenager, I had to get on birth control pills in order to get rid of my period cramps just so I could get out of bed when that time of month rolled around. I'm much older now and have tried to get off the pill but every time I do, they come back. I also tried this thing called the NUVA ring. I woke up that night with cramps so bad I thought I was in labor (I'm not pregnant). So if you have serious cramping I would not ever try this birth control method.
Anyway, Long story short the pill most likely will make you normal again.

Yeah I would consider it. It helps a lot of women with cramps.

Go see your doctor. Trust me there stuff he can give to help. I know. But if he advises you to go on birth control then do it.

no if you suggest it your mom might think your haveing sex thats not good try takeing midol its better and when you think your about to get it then where a pad to school

Sometimes going on birth control doesn't even help that situation. I would go to your doctor, and ask to speak to them by yourself just saying you have questions. When you do, they will ask your mom to step out of the room. You can tell them your situation, and they can talk with your mom. They can explain your options, but really there is nothing else to help that other than going on birth control, they really just is no guarantee if that is going to work or not.
