Question: i just started taking the pain med tramadol and the anti- flammatory naproxen for my rotator cuff on sunday. my period was due the 5th of this month, but i still havent gotten it yet. could it be these meds that are affecting the delay of my period? can these meds make my period out of wack? i have taken 2 pregnancy tests and both were negative. any help would very much be appreciated.

Yes they absolutely can throw things off
I am a woman, promise, and I do work in a hospital with patients, promise

If you go a few more days and its a no show, call your pharmacist and explain the situation, if he doesn't know or you dont feel comfortable asking him, then call your physician

But yes, starting a pain medication can stunt your regular period

as far as i know, naproxen doesn't effect the mens ..

Those meds should not affect your period. I was on Naproxen for a while. It didn't affect my period at all. I was on a very strong pain med and it didn't affect my period either.

Are you just on meds for your rotator cuff or was there some surgery involved ? That can always mess up your period due to stress.
