Question: Why are a lot of people against thongs?
I think you should be able to chose: panty line or string up your butt.
I don't wear thongs, but I see nothing wrong with them....

Many people may be against thongs because some girls (or should i say most girls?) like to pull them up past their jeans and expose them which comes off as sexual. I think thongs are great and I don't have a problem with them, either. In my opinion, they're more comfortable. I've been wearing them since I was 12 and I've never gone back to the granny-panties (lol). I don't really think that there is a specific age limit for them. As long as you're wearing it for the right reasons, like to avoid pantylines, then you're fine. However, it really bugs me when teenagers try to act sexy just because they have a string up their butt - what's so sexy about that? Best of luck!
wear what you like. i find them quite uncomfortable but its up to the woman if she wants to wear it or not.

I htink thongs give out a sexual idea to the oppisite sex. Maybe not but that's just me.. otherwise i see nothing wrong with them other than they're extremely uncomfortable, but anyway.. i dont wear them.. gross!
Thongs (also know as G-strings) makes us fellas think of strippers so we are a bit put off when we see them marketed toward teenagers.
i see nothing wrong with them. im 13 and i wear them. mainly for a sport though. nothing sexual but some people just think of them as being sexual or something
i agree, it's nice to have the option, and i do wear both.
as for an age limit, it's tricky.
thongs have a stigma for being sexy, and i hate it when i see a child acting sexy. there is nothing sexy about a 11 year old!!!
i can understand that even children dont want panty lines, but why would they even be thinking about this? when i was 11, i sure as hell didn't worry about panty lines. i dont understand why children today are obsessed with trying to look and act like adults.

I think it is all personal preference. I feel if a girl is old enough to know what a thong is and wants to wear one then that is her right.
people think of them as being sexual but in certain times you need to wear them for instance if you wear really tight leggings for example you dont want a huge underwear line showing, so you wear a thong instead. it's gross if you see the underwear line
any tight pants would be odd loooking if you didnt wear a thong with it

I'm 15 and I wear them...but I'm a dancer so that's the main reason I do wear them. But I switch between boy-shorts and thongs.
They only come off as being something sexual is if you MAKE it that way. Like if a girl has it pulled up way too far hoping people will see and she only wears it so people will notice, then I would take that as trying to be sexual about it. But if you wear it just for no pantylines, then it's cool.
i love them because you dont get underwear lines showing on tighter pants and they are lower cut so your undies dont show i think women are against them because for some reason they think its slutty but really they help you look more proffesionall no one likes the underwear line!

The only time thongs are sexual is when people wear them and allow them to be higher than their pants. I don't think there is anything wrong with them, I wear them everyonce in a while. As for an age limit, if a girl feels that she is ready than let her do it. I knew a girl who only wore thongs, no other kind of panties.
