Hey i found a box of tampons from the 1990s, are they safe to use?!


Question: hey i found a box of tampons from the 1990s, are they safe to use? they stopped making the brand a few years back because of a HUGE recall, so they dont make them anymor. & i dont want to go to the store (its like 4 blocks away & my truck is in the shop.

get over it and walk! i would not advise you to put anything inside you from the '90's anyway.......but you just answered your own question. hello?.......there was a RECALL! go to the store. you'd kick yourself until the day before infinity if you ended up with some horrific infection or worse, because the store was four blocks away!

    • id play it safe and not use it....walk...ull get over it
    Throw them out as it is not a good idea to use recalled tampons. Walk to the store. 4 blocks is no big deal so get off the computer and get walking.
    You said there was a recall so I would not use these. There were tampons produced in the past that a particular component in them that meant there was a greater likelihood of developing toxic shock syndrome so it is possible that those are the ones you have if they were recalled. If that's the case, they aren't save to use so please don't. If you really can't get to the store, stuff some toilet paper in your underwear. I know it's not the best, but it's better than ending up in the hospital with toxic shock syndrome..

    my suggestion would be not to use them, because if you had a tampon rolling around in your purse for a while, your not even supposed to use those...personally the 1990s...wow...um, i definitely wouldn't risk the chance of going to the ER if something goes wrong with this sweetie! lol good treasury of finding though!

    It mite be kind of hard to insert them....i think your best bet is not go use them for now, get toilet paper bunched up, if dont use this go use your neeces new diaper.
