Depo provera ?!


Question: I got my first shot of depo in september and I pruposely didnt go back for another one because I've heard horrible stuff about it. Well I didnt get a period at all on depo and I just got it today does that mean I can get pregnant now? I know all about ovulation but since Im getting my period does that mean I'll ovulate ?

You already ovulated if you have your period. You don't get your period if you don't ovulate and since you have your period that means you already ovulated so yes you can get pregnant.

Depo Provera is not a bad birth Control, I actually was on it,

You don't get your period, if you are on it, but since you only had

one injection, you may be ovulating again.......or spotting.........

you should continue to use other forms of protection,,,,,,,

i think the depo is for a few months or a month??? i don't know for sure but i've known people that were on that and then once off it took a while for their period to come back....so if it's supposed to be for one month and it's been for september then yes u can get pregnant now.....
i don't think that any kind of medication that alters your cycle/suspends it is no bueno......stick to monthly stuff that keeps your period

You could have gotten pregnant ON depo, so yes you can get pregnant now.

ANY time you have sex, protected or not, period or not, you risk the chance of pregnancy.
