Will your period get better as you become older?!

Question: I am 15 and I HATE getting my period. I mean I know it sucks for every female, but I really do not like it, but when I see women, they don't look like they are going through as much as I do...does your period get better as you grow older? Is it harder when your a teen?

Usually its only harder when you are a teen cos you tend to eat lots of food with high sugar, lots of caffeinated drinks like coffee, tea and sodas and soft drinks and lots of tinned foods ....... all these things will rob you of your B complex of vitamins, which are important for healthy neural (brain), digestive and immune system functioning........ symptoms of B12 in particular deficiency are nausea and vomiting, headaches and migraines, fatigue and exhaustion, constipation, irritability and moodines, inability to think clearly ......... all of which usually happen on your menses (period) ...... this is because we are losing so much blood sooooooo we need to replace all the B vitamins and iron (as without B12 iron cannot be used properly - assimilated - by the body anyways ) that we are losing during this time and any other time our bodies are placed under stress ie: menses, school studies, new job, new home etc.etc.etc....... eat more food rich in B12 ie: skimmed milks and cheese, fish and eggs and also eat more wholegrains and cereals, leafy and green vegies, fresh fruits (full of natural sugars which are good for you) and lean meats and loads of fresh filtered water............ phew !! Sorry this is soooo long, just hate people suffering unecessarily!!

If you are vegetarian or lactose intolerant then it is really important for you to supplement your diet with a multi B complex supplement including all the B's ie: B1, B2, B3, B5, B6 and B12 as they work best together. they are a water soluble group of vitamins and as such our bodies can neither produce or store them. There fore we need to ingest them on a daily basis or suffer a myriad of side affects.

Don't freak with the info overload ........ just start out by trying to cut out the B12 thiefs that i outlined above and either supplementing with a multi B complex tablet or eating more skimmed milks and cheeses, fish and eggs.

Good health to you?

CHEERS
?

it got worse for me..ya never hear anyone say , man I love my period..no one likes it..BUT as you get older , you're more used to it, & it doesnt seem as bad, ya know..it'll be ok..just accept it... ;)

I dont know what you mean by better. I used to have cramps and backaches but I dont have them anymore. I doubt this happens to other girls though. It was also a heavier flow and I moved like a stick.

Yes, it will get better... Mine sucked too when I was a teen. Now I don't know I have them half of the time.. Hang in there, you will be okay!!!

Generally, your first couple of years of periods will be the worst. Adjusting to the hormones being all out of whack is tough.

I spent my first few years of periods (I started when I was fourteen) in absolute horrible pain, being very nauseous, and bleeding so much I had fainting spells because I became anemic. Not good.

I spoke to my doctor about it, and she put me on the Pill. Ever since then, things have been a-okay.

Staying away from triggers like caffeine is also a good idea. Also, invest in a good hot water bottle and talk to your doctor!

mine is worse. got really bad after 2nd child.
