Nuva ring??!

Question: How is it supposed to sit? Vertically (up/down) or horizonally (back to front/flat? I was under the impression before that it sat in a circular way, like with it expanding out and conforming to the vaginal wall. But then I just read something about it just being inserted and sitting like a tampon. Anyone know?
Mine seems like its in vertically like a tampon and i cant get it in anny fyrther!

First, an anatomy lesson:

Your uterus is about the size of your fist. Nothing can get lost and there's, basically only one way in and out.

The Nuvaring sits vertically in the uterus and should be inserted right behind the pelvic bone just inside. The uteran walls should be tight enough to keep the nuvaring pretty much in place. I won't lie, it does move around, which is why you should check it every so often.

Also your uterus is about the length of your middle finger. So that's about as far as the Nuvaring is suppose to be in.

You insert it like a tampon, ie press the sides together but after to place it correctly inside of you it should then straighten out so that the ring expands and sit I guess back to front. I would ask your doctor, I'm surprised she did help you out since this is a relatively new product.

As long as the ring is in far enough that you cannot feel it, and it doesnt come out during your everyday routines, it is ok.

It is normal for it to come out during sex, and as long as you put it back in as soon as you are done you will still be protected.
