Question: I havnt gotten my period since august, i havnt been sexually active and i am not losing weight, im actually overweight. and ive had my period since about 6th grade and im a sophmore now.
what do i do??? i love not having to deal with it but i hate not knowing! HELP!

You might be going through POF - Premature Ovarian Failure (running out of eggs). Have you ever had hot flashes? I started at age 15 (after 6 years of getting my period) with feeling hot all the time and my periods would skip 2-3 months or 2 times a month. I was diagnosed with POF at 21 years old. I would go see your family doctor or an OB/GYN. Have them test your FSH and LH hormone levels.

its normal for a teenager don't worry. if this pattern consists then go to an obgyn!
get your thyroid checked
go to a gyn he'll or she will prescribe a birth control pill or hormone pill to help regulate u better.. overweight was the same with me.. dont wry its prob. the weight!! Good Luck

Generally a girl's cycle should settle into a routine in about a year. Go to the doctor, there's no point second guessing the cause and messing around with your health and well being. It's possible it could be something serious, probably not but it's not worth the risk. See a doctor.
