I have had all three of the shots. I didn't have any side effects from either of the shots except slight tenderness in the arm. But as long as you use your arm through out the day it wont be that bad. And it does not hurt like h*ll. It might burn a lil, but what shot doesn't burn when the medicine is going in? And as far as the long term effects. They tested these shots for a long time before they put them on the market, and wouldn't you want to lower your chances of getting CANCER, and having to go through that pain or the lil pain of getting a tiny shot. I think the tiny shot out weighs the CANCER by a long shot!!!!! You will do fine!!!

Better not trying it till we know more about it, do you really wanna get the risk of the side effects?

That's exactly why I won't take it. My partner is clean of HPV, I am clean of HPV, and I rather risk getting cancer and it being detected during my yearly exams then wind up with brain cancer or blood clots or diabetes or some random disease in 10 years because I took gardasil. I think I will wait a few years and see how it goes first.

(Reminds me of those pills they used to give expecting mothers that killed their babies or gave the babies extreme diseases and birth defects, and those birth control UID's that prevented women from EVER having a child and an increased risk of cancer).

Relax. It's fine. All shots have the potential to hurt slightly, but whoever said it hurts like he*l sounds to me like a drama queen. Don't worry about lawyers' warnings, either--they like to make things seem awful. This is just a simple immunization, and is safe. And it will hurt a lot less than getting chunks of your vagina and/or cervix treated with liquid nitrogen, or biopsied, because of genital warts.

i got that shot about 3 weeks ago. It hurt slightly but not too bad. I haven't had any negative side-effects since.

i think this shot is a great thing, my daughter is about to have her final injection. it doesnt hurt if you continue to use your arm throughout the day. and it has been tested for a while and has been out for a while, stop worrying unnecessarily. GET THE SHOTS.
