It most likely is a yeast infection. They cause itching down there and can cause a baking bread smell. It would be best you see a doctor as soon as you can.

Sounds like you have thrush. See your doctor and have him take a swab to be sure, don't leave it too long, it'll just get worse. If your having sex, make sure your boyfriend applies an antifungal cream as they too can get it.
