I just resently got contacts and whenever i put them in my eyes are always red a!

Question: What can i do?

Answers: What can i do?

Make sure your hands are clean anytime you touch your eyes or lenses and that you rinse your lenses well after every use. It takes time to get used to contacts but if they continue to bother you go back to your optometrist and tell him. He can see if they're fitted right or if maybe you just need a different brand of contacts. I had to try 3 or 4 brands before I found one that worked for me.

just make sure you're washing and rinsing your hands well and rinsing the lenses really well with solution before you put them in and make sure they aren't inside out. If it's been a couple of weeks and that's still happening even though you're doing everything clean and correct, then you need to speak to your eye doctor.

As noted above, ensure your hands and contacts are clean of irritants beforehand. If the problem persists, consider changing the brand of contact solution you use (I'm sensitive to certain brands), and make sure your current solution was not part of this summer's contact lens solution recall.

Yes this happens to me too!! And sometimes my eyes burn, very scary feeling lol

but that's just in the beginning eventually everything will be fine. Make sure your hands are clean... your eyes are very important!! =]

It takes time for your eyes to get used to wearing contacts. If you just got them it'll take a while for your eyes to adjust. You can try just putting them in for an hour or two a day, and then working up to more and more time of wearing them in a day.
