Good lord, it's been awhile since I have taken these. Pill question.?!

Question: I went back on the pill (ortho tri cyclen lo) after it was determined that I could not breast feed my daughter. I have been on it for a month and now are on the last week of pills when you are supposed to be on your period. This is my 3rd day on them. No period yet. YEARS ago, when I was on the pill (desogen) I would get my period that sunday I started the last week. Do you think that it's just a different pill, therefore a different cycle? Or, maybe my body still getting used to not being pregnant?
Don't talk to me about the other possibility. I don't want to go there at this point.

Sometimes I don't start my period for 3 or 4 days and I'm on the exact same thing as you... it also might have something to do with recently being pregnant. I hate waiting for it when I see my "period pills" are nearly gone and it still hasn't started! I've also experienced MUCH shorter periods while on Ortho....

It could be your body just getting used to the new medication. I'm on Marvelon and I start my "Fake" week on Sunday and I usually don't get my period until Wednesday.

just wait..and if you dont get it call ur doctor...u may be *the forbidden P word*<3

Could be any number of things. Your body is different now, it usually takes a few days for me to get my period after I stop taking the active pills.

Were you getting your period normally before you went on the pill?

it can effect your period

the same thing happened to me when i changed birth control pills. i didn't have a cycle at all that month. then the next month came along and i started just as i was supposed to. i wasn't pregnant. it was just my boby getting used to the change in the hormones. my doctor said it was really not a big deal. hope that helps.
