I get my period so bad i throw up, HELP!?!

Question: ok, so this just started happening about three months ago. My periods used to be norrmal, i hardly noticed they were there. No when i get it, the first 2-3 days are unbearable. I cant eat, sleep, go to school or hangout with my friends. I spend all day laying in my bathroom with a heating pad, my pillow, and of course the toliet is rigth there, incase i throw up again. The cramps hurt so bad, it makes me throw up, and im a pain tolerant person. I cant talk on the phone, because everytime i open my mouth i puke. My mom wanted to take me to the Emergency Room last night, but i wouldnt go, becase i dont really want a stranger in that area while im on my period. My parents WILL NOT put me on birth control, and i think it might help to go on it. First, whats wrong with me, why does it hurt so bad, im only 16? Second im going to palnned parnethood next weekend to get birth control, they said they can do it with out the exam, so im hoping thats right. But can some one help me please????

Oh sweetie. I'm So sorry. My period was like that when I was your age. And it stayed that way until I went on birth control. Go to Planned Parenthood. They'll give it to you. Good luck dear.

Your best bet is to go to Planned Parenthood like you already planned. The pill can help tremendously with your horrible period symptoms. There's probably nothing wrong with you, you are just one of those girls who have terrible periods. But while you're at Planned Parenthood you should probably go ahead and get a pap smear to be sure.

You really should have gone to the Emergency room. You should have an x-ray to see of there is anything abnormal in your pelvic cavity.

Birth control would stop your period. You could do this temporarily to ease the pain, but you really should have the underlying medical issue treated. It's possible you could have Endometriosis.

Get birth control pills to regulate your peiod. I had bad pains and nausea , until my doc put me on Loestron. I don't have my period as much and I feel free!!!

This happened to my sister. It turned out that she had ovarian cysts. The doctor put her on birth control at 13 and she never had another problem. The birth control helped prevent the cysts, keep her period regular, and make the period less painful.

You DO need to have a pelvic exam to determine if their are any cysts. What are your parents objections to birth control? They think you are going to run out and start having sex with the entire football team without a condom? Get real! They should treat birth control just like any other medication. They can pretend it's tylenol! Our Catholic priest, while he objected to birth control, approved my sister's use of it because it was the only thing (without getting drastic surgery or something) that could help her live a normal life!!! She was only 13! Plus, she was a virgin until she got married at 22.

So, find out why your parents object so strongly. Hell, let her take you to the ER. Then, after spending a bunch of money, they are going to feel seriously retarded when the ER doc smacks your parents on the forehead, tells them to take you to a gyno and get some BC!

With the sudden onset and change in menstrual style it could be something like ovarian cysts or fibroids or endometriosis. This is something that you do need to see a doctor about and have an exam to rule out. I know your sixteen and don't want to be seen or don't want your parent to be with you because you have to answer a bunch of questions. But you have a choice of not having a parent in the room for the exam. Then, maybe the doctor could explain that birthcontrol could help your problem and your parents might be more agreeable. And most responsible places will not give birth control without an exam to rule out any problems that can arise from taking it with underlying issues. My sister in law had a stroke at 17 because of BC without a proper workup. They would've known she had a clotting issue. Be safe and hope this helps.

I have this too. Its hard to deal with every single month, but your not really old enough to make your own decisions. When you get oldr you might be able to go and see the doc yourself to get the pills, but tell your parents to go to the doc with you and your doc will explain to them that the pill will help you ALOT.
