First Period (girls only)?!

Question: Im 14 almost 15 and Im pretty sure I just got my first period today. There was this brown stuff in my underwear and when I went to the toilet after I wiped (sorry if TMI) there was bright red blood. This is my period right? So will I get it tomorrow? Do I need to wear a pad now and for the next few days? My parents are split up and I am at my dads house now- how do you tell a father???I have no prob telling my mum, ill ring her soon.

Anything else I should know...

yeah sounds like you just started your period. You will need a pad. It will probably last a few days to a week. You can just tell your dad that you started your period. If you don't feel comfortable telling him you can call your mom and tell her and she can tell your dad. You need to go ahead and tell someone so you can get some pads. YOu use toliet paper til you are able to get some pads. good luck.

i would call your mom. and get some pantie liners and pads.

yes its your period. girls usually get it when theyre younger, but its still normal to get it at your age. you just need to start wearing a pad and change it every few hours and after a few days its over. itll happen a few consecutive days every month.

yes it sounds like the beginning of your menstrual cycle. please call your mother so you can discuss what type of sanitary napkins you will need.

Well yhea that is definately your period. but.. im exactly like you i don't think i could tell my dad. mom suree why not but not my dad. Do You Have pads? because for about the next week or so you will be on your period. it is going to be pretty heavy for about the next 2 or 3 days. just a little heads up.

Hope this helped =)

yeah call your mom, and yes it will come again tommorrow, mine stays for 4 days,. it should only come once a month. yeah wear a pad. ever day and at night wear a longer one incase u leak

congrats......you r now a woman.

It probably is your first period, call your mom so you can get some pads. She will probably tell your dad and he get some if you don't want to tell him (unless they aren't on speaking terms). Make sure you wipe off all the blood; if the blood doesn't stop, then it could be a cut.

wow your so lucky you got it when you were 14. anyways. i think its your period but check that up with your mom first. but for now i guess just wear a light pad just to be sure and bring a normal pad to school tomorrow just in case. if its really your period and not something else then yes you have to be wearing pads until its done. hmm how to tell your dad well you can either tell your mom to tell your dad if thats not a good idea then i guess you have to tell him straigh-up... hey dad.. i gotta tell you something.. uhhh i think i have my period.

thats the best advice i can give you..

good luck =D

That's exactly what happened to me. Although it was very light and only lasted 2 days. But, it depends. Call your mom and hopefully she will tell your dad to get you pads and pantiliner. Good Luck! And welcome to womanhood! :)

do u have a step mom it could be ur period or you could just have an infection. Sometimes if u masterbate it will happen.

yes it is your preriod...and call your mom she will tell you what to do!

It's most likely your period. Congrats =] Yea you're going to need to wear a pad until it's over. If you're comfortable telling your father than just tell him, if not then just ask your mom if she can bring some pads over to you.

yep, this is ur period, you don't have to tell ur dad, but call ur mom and she can probably bring u some pads or pnty liners if u don't have any.

Wow thats old. Lol :P yes it is.
