The first coupe times you are aware because it takes some getting used to. Make sure you are using the correct size and changing every 2-8 hours depending on how heavy your flow is. After a couple times of continual use you shouldnt be able to feel it! I wear tampons during the day and pads at night because my flow is heavy. If you are just starting to use them I suggest doing the same.
When inserted correctly you should never feel it once it's inside of you.
The first couple of times I used a tampon I could definately tell it was there. It wasn't painful, but I could feel it until I got distracted and forgot about it.
However, I was also a virgin, and this may have been why.
I am 14 and JUST got over my tampon hurdle last month.
The first time I had it in there, I could feel it a little bit. First of all, because there was a foreign object in my wa-wa, and second of all, I didn't have it in far enough.
You should know, that there is no physical/possible way that it could be in there too far, your body will just not allow it. It will hit the wall and will not be able to go any further. So make sure you get it nice and far up there, where there aren't any nerves, so you can't feel it and get on with your exciting life!

Yes, I was a virgin the first time. I definitely felt it. It was the most uncomfortable thing and it felt like I didn't have it all the way in there (LOL).
To this day, Tampons are still very uncomfortable to me. And I absolutely hate when its time to pull it out ( I do not like that feeling)
in the beginning you will feel it only because you don't really know how deep to put it. But in time as you put it more often you'll learn that it should be pushed deep down in your vagina..
donr use tampons bad idea if your thinking about it. like the other girls said if your a virgin you can feel it. its really not suppose to feel like anything.
No you shouldn't be able to feel it at all.
Make sure its inserted properly, if your nervous and tense your muscles will tighten and you won't be able to insert the tampom properly.
Always use the lowest absorbancy level possible if it is more absorbant than required it can be hard to insert properly and feel uncomfortable.
Also some brands are shaped differently I prefare the ones that are small and fatter - they expand outways not lengthways.
Persavere with it once you get used to them you'll never go back to using towels.
