First, the clit is kinda like a penis for women...lol sounds funny I know but its true. So when it's aroused it swells up just like a guy gets a hard on.
Second if the above is not the case in your situation, then its possible that you just went overboard...it is still apart of your body and it can still get damaged. So be careful next time!

Yes it is possible you "abused" your personal area. Also be aware that if there is any stinging or pain beyond a day, it may be a yeast infection. But consult one of your girlfriends and ask them also as I can only go from experience my wife has had. Good luck.
