Period on my Wedding Day?!
Question: I'm looking for a way to stop my period for my wedding day and honeymoon. I haven't been on the pill since 2002, so my body is fully clear of the chemicals.
I read that when you come off the Pill, you might not be able to conceive for up to 2yrs after. I wonder if there is a way I can stop my period without having to use the Pill, or if there is a certain type of Pill that is more suited for short use. I would only look to use it for one month, to cover the wedding and honeymoon, and would like as little disruption as possible.
Please only suggest BRITISH brands though, as I'm in England.

I don't believe that there is any way you could rearrange your menstrual cycle without adding hormones to your body.
You'd have to take the pill and see if you can mess around with it a bit to get the dates right. Since you have to go the doctor to get the pill anyways... ask them what would be the best way to go about not having your period on your wedding day. The doctor would most likely know the best way (and should be understanding).

I don't know where you heard the bit about inability to conceive for up to 2 years post-pill. I got pregnant 2 WEEKS after stopping the pill!! I think that some people just have rotten luck when it comes to trying to conceive.
At any rate, if you want to guarantee not having your period, you should start the pill about 4-5 months prior to your wedding, and this way you can manipulate your cycle; then simply stop 2-3 months before you want to TTC and you should be good to go.
My only recommendation would be to stick to a monophasic pill (or one that has the same chemical all month long). This will allow you greater latitude when it comes to skipping periods, etc, and you'll have fewer side effects. Brands would be dependent upon your needs, your body, and your doctor's recommendations.

There is no way to stop your period for your wedding. You should had a birth control last several months ago. It will help you few period. If I were you to talk your doctor as far your concern when you'll have a wedding.

I'm sorry to say that I don't know of any british brands of the pill. or any typr of pill that would stop your period. I would ask my Dr. if I were you.

I got pregnant the first month I was off the pill and I'm an old lady who got preggo at 35. Some folks will blame infertility on anything except genetics. It just happens sometimes.
I started 10 minutes before my wedding. It didn't stop us one bit.
I've never heard of such a pill. Call your doc and just go get on the pill now.

Who did you hear THAT little bit from (the two years to conceive part)?
People get pregnant ON the pill, immediately AFTER the pill, and some take some time to conceive.
I would talk to the doctor a few months before the wedding to see what can be done so you don't have your period on your wedding day.
