Irregular period?!
Question: My girlfriend has missed her period by 8 days now. I'm worried about her being pregnant but im also hoping that maybe she just missed one. i read that stress, taking trips, and schedule changes all can cause someone to miss their period. I'm also nervous she might be pregnant. We have haven't had sex but i'm worried i might have left sperm on my hand after masturbating or getting a ********. but i would never just leave it on my hand then go down into her pants. if wiping sperm off someone kill it, or can it still be on your hand? I need help

One of the first signs of pregnancy is a late period, but missed periods do not necessarily mean that your girlfriend is pregnant. If you think there's a possibility that your girlfriend could be pregnant, then it is worthwhile to take a pregnancy test.
You may still want to take a pregnancy test even if you have been using contraception. Since birth control (including condoms) can fail, taking a pregnancy test will allow you both to rule out one of the possible causes of missed periods.
If your girlfriend has a late period and a negative pregnancy test, then consider whether or not whether she has recently been sick, gained or lost a significant amount of weight, have been under excessive stress or have taken any new medications.
All of these things can affect a girl's menstrual cycle and cause a girl to have irregular periods. Additionally, certain types of birth control can also cause irregular menstrual cycles.
I would recommend that if your girlfriend don't get your period in another few days, that you do a pregnancy test (incase there's a possibility she might be pregnant or you could do one today) and if she's not pregnant, I would recommend she either waits to see whether she gets her period and if not next month that she consults with a doctor for further evaluation.
