Were you ever afraid of using tampons?!

Question: i am, but mainly cause im afraid that it'll get stuck and wont come out.

im pretty much a negative person sometimes and i hate it, i really do...

but i was reading the box and it said that it is possible for it to get stuck, and if it does to go to your doctor right away. (and i also read that you have to relax for it to come out easily, but yet im still a bit scared)...

so basically, im just wondering if you ever had the fear of a tampon being stuck in you and not coming out?...

i dont know anyone whose ever gotten one stuck if that makes you feel better. i never really had a fear because the thought of a pad just is gross to me for some reason. it wont come out if its not 'wet' enough so dont let that scare you, just wait a little longer. i personally use the instead cups. they catch it instead of abosrbing and ifind them so much more comfortable to use. but dont be scared!! i guarantee you'll like never go back to pads. i convinced my friend to try them after years of using pads only bc she was scared and she never went back!

yeah i was, one day i forgot i put one in, and somehow inserted another, so when i took one out the other followed. That's when i said 2 myself i have to stop, what if i forgotten all of that time....

No, I didn't have that fear. The only way it is likely to get stuck is if you take it out too early. You need to have lubrication, so make sure you have some blood present before inserting it and you allow it to be mostly saturated before removing it. Wait a few hours unless your period is heavy. Use the lowest absorbency necessary. Start with junior or "lite". Relax and take your time. It will be fine.

i am 12 years old..i already went through the whole tampon..thing..
i was kinda exited about it you know?
there is a long string at the bottom of one and just pull it out..your supposed to put in a new one every 4 to 5 hours or so
but dont panic
but if u pull out the tampon in the right direction,it will come out easily.
and i suggest using pearl (brand of a tampon) tampons, because those are really good.
lol. kinda weird talking about this but when i first used one it wouldnt come out because i wasnt even pulling it in the right direction but you will be just fine

no it can't get stuck cos theres a long string thats been sewed into the core of the tampon so it will never get stuck and your not supposed to put it that far inside.but those things hurt like hell and i don't trust them to protect me from leeks, but i guess i should try it again sometime.

I just don't wanna stick it up there.. Pads are just easier!

I never had the fear but now I will.

i just dont use them...its ok not to plus i think it is more sanitary...and yes it is normal to be scared.

It's totally up to you, you don't have to wear tampons but they are a lot more convenient, especially if you want to go swimming or not feel like you are wearing a diaper. If is does get stuck which it wont, then a doctor can take it out, its not going to go anywhere.

Sure, I have been afraid and sometimes I'm really wary, but I love them.

I've been using them for 22+ years and so far not one has been stuck. Just make sure the string is hanging from your body (I usually tug on the string before I insert the tampon just in case).
