Switching pill brand question?!

Question: I recently switched from Yasmin to Cyclen. I am wondering if I have to use a backup birth control method until I am done this cycle. I finished my last pack of Yasmin Wed night, and my withdrawal bleed "period" started Sunday. I also started the new pills Sunday as my doctor suggested. Am I protected or should I wait until I finish this pack of Cyclen and start a new one before relying on it? Thx

You should be fine, but you might want to wait a week for everything to regulate itself. And either sustaine from sex or use protection for that week.
