personally i don't mind it but your girlfriend may...ask her if she wants you to. you can even do it without looking like you don't know how to please her. just whisper in her ear, "do you want me to finger you?" or "what can i do to make you happy?"
i personally dont like the whole fingering thing. but if your looking to take things further just go a little at a time. shes probably just as scared to make a move and might be waiting for you to. if she tells you no or pushes you away then you will know what your limits are.
first of all; make sure if its okay with her. If she wants to wait; then let her wait. If she wants to then you can foreplay & all that.
