Has anyone had any experiences using Yaz Birth Control?!

Question: I'm supposed to start the Yaz birth control pill this month and want to know if there are other women that are using this pill. Is anyone having bad side effects from this pill? I used orthotryciclene lo and i felt crappy all the time...

I'm currently on Yaz Birth Control. I've been on it for about a year now.

I haven't experienced any side effects such as nausea, vomiting, or weight gain. As for the skin clearing effect, I did noticed that I was breaking out less compared to before when I was on Ortho TriCyclen Lo. As for using Yaz for back to back (to miss a period) there is some slight breakthrough bleeding. I don't know if it's just me, but when it's those last 4 days to get your period, I only actually get it for 2 days. So I'd recommend Yaz.

EDIT: As for you feeling crappy on Ortho TriCyclen Lo, it may be due to the different amounts of hormone. Ortho TriCylen Lo is a triphasic birthcontrol meaning that it has different levels of estrogen and progestrone every week. (It's highest on the first week, and lowest on the last week). So that could've made you feel crappy because your body is constantly trying to adjust to those levels, and once they got used to it, you're now on a different week.

Yaz doesn't work like Ortho Tricylen Lo. Yaz is a monophasic birth control meaning that it's a steady level of hormones every week until the last four days of your pack (which are sugar pills), so your body will continously get the same amount of estrogen and progestrone for 26 days out of the month.

why do you want to know?

I heard YAZ sux! im on YAZMINE an i like it, its normal

Yeah this girl I'm dating is using it and she is getting fatter than Tyra Banks!!

I'm currently taking Yaz and have been for a year and a half now. I think it really depends on how YOUR body takes it. I haven't put on any weight due to Yaz. The first couple months I had really bad cramps (which I usually never get), but after those couple of months it wasn't bad at all.
