Do you use pads or tampons and why?I use tampons cause then i dont feel as gross and they arent as scary as people say especially if you start out with slim fits but i also like to wear a panty liner with them because i have an anxiety disorder and if i dont i have panic attacks haha

2. I told my mom as soon as I got it.
3. I wore pads from then until 1993. Since 1993 I have worn tampons. Tampons are less messy and more convenient for my heavy flow.

I was about 11, my grandmother had not told me much about it and I thought something was very wrong. I told her right away, because we were very poor and between our weekly shopping trip, ( back then you did not just run to the store on a whim), I had to use old wash clothes. They were thrown away and not reused.
The lives of women have greatly improved. They once had to tear bed sheets apart, wash and reuse them again and again.
That was my in my grandmother's day and before. I have no idea what they did thousands of years ago...........no wonder they called it a curse!

i was in 8th grade and i had to tell my dad... that sucked... he had to buy me pads and i wore pads until i was 18 then tried a tampon and now i hate pads... tampons are much more comfortable and easier to carry around
1) I was 14 when I first started my period.
2) I didn't tell my mom until 6 months after.
3) For the first couple of times I used pads because I didn't want to try to put a tampon in. After a couple of times I used tampons because I didn't want to be in a puddle of myself. I felt cleaner. Tampons are easier than pads, you don't have to keep changing them every few hours.
I started my period right after grade 7, however old you are then... 13 or 14. I was really afraid to tell my mom, cuz i wasnt exactly sure how and we didnt really talk about personal stuff like that in our house, I really needed pads tho so I think it was like a month later. I used pads to start cuz thats what my mom used and the idea of tampons seemed frightning, prob a few years later I switched to tampons which seemed alot more hygenic and easy...and i also converted my mom to tampon use

I was 12 years old, and I got it the morning before my first trip to Disneyland. It was a miserable day. I had to tell my mother the same day so that she could buy me pads, and I never talked to her about it again. I handled it all myself and used to just go into her room and take her pads. I've never used tampons because they scare me a little, and when I was younger and lived at home, I didn't use them because I didn't want to have to ask about them.
I was 15.
I was at home after school only me and my brother in the house because my parents were still at work... So i call him and told him to go in to my room and get the things i needed and leave it at the door... he did and then when i finally came out of the toilet about half hour later he just said you ok and then never mentioned it again. I told my mum when she got back from work and she just said okily dokily, how you feeling. I was well prepared for it had been since i was 10.
I find tampons best.... they just feel more secure and hygenic.
