Pads or Tampons? Which do you prefer and why?!

Question: Umm I use pads...I never tried tampons yet and well, i don't want to because I heard too many stories where people get infections or toxic shock syndrome so I want no such thing. A pad is so simple, quick to change and well diesease free.

i use tampons during the day...cause they are convient and I cant feel them and pads at night due to a heavy flow, otherwise I'd be getting up in the middle of the night to change a tampon!

Tampons, pads are smelly and you feel like you're wearing a diaper. When you have a tampon on you can forget you have your period, at least until it's time to change. haha

Neither! I use the Keeper and I love it! I've also used the Instead SoftCup and that was a good experience too. Tampons don't hold enough for me. I'd have to change them too often. Pads are bulky and like wearing a diaper. I've never had a leak with the Keeper and the SoftCup was just as good too, but disposable. Sometimes at night if I'm going heavy I'll wear a pad in case of a leak but a small pad. The Keeper is wonderful and my favorite by far. I can't understand using anything else. As far as putting something in while you're bleeding, I use disposable latex gloves which are pretty inexpensive at Walmart and I only need one box every few months. I've saved literally a couple hundred dollars this past year by not getting tampons or two boxes of pads a month since starting to use the Keeper.

I use pads because apparantly you can get an infection from keeing tampons in for too long. you can get toxic shock sindrome and yuo can die from it. so...

tampons--don't feel anything at all no mess and pads feel like diapers and personally dont like to think about "sitting in my period all day".

When I'm at school though I usually wear a pad and tampon just in case! =]

tampons. otherwise I feel like.. I'm sitting in blood. and that's gross. lol.

I actually have to use both...for leaks. I have such a heavy flow..normal, that last 3 days. I use Always thin with wings and super tampax pearl. Tampons make everything cleaner and feels like you don't really have a period. I just use wet wipes to clean and I'm fresh and ready to go.

whats the keeper??

I use both. For the first few days, I can't wear a tampon at all; it makes me cramp too badly. After that, I wear pads during the times I'm awake, and a tampon while I sleep (the pad ALWAYS shifts so that I bleed on the bed.) The last few days, I'll wear a tampon.

tampons cause they are much easyier to run and stuff in so ya

Tampon. Pads always feel weird, and I hate feeling the blood run out of me...ick.

its up to you what you want to use but a gynecologist will prefer you to use a pad as the tampon will stop everything coming out and can cause endomitriosis and pads they collect what comes out and that's what your body is trying to do push all the crap out you decide
1 thing is i can assure you endo is not fun it can affect you having kids it hurts alot trust me

tampons.

Tampons, I could not live without them

pads are gross and feel like a diaper
with my tampons, I don't even feel like I'm on my period
sooo much better than pads

Tampons, because I can't feel anything, and my underwear is less likely to be messed up. I always have trouble with pads, and it feels so nasty.

Tampons in my opinion are way more comfortable. I can be more carefree, not having to worry about a big uncomfortable pad.
