First time using tampon and it bothers me ?!

Question: I tried using a tampon today for the first time. I used the Tampax Plastic one.
When I inserted it, it gave me funny feeling and when I sat down it kind of like make me feel uncomfortable.
Then it kinda leaked like 3 dots or so. I only had it for 2 hours so it cant be full already. Am I doing something wrong ?

You probably aren't inserting it in far enough. If inserted correctly, you really shouldn't even be able to feel the tampon in there barely. Make sure and push the plastic part in up until the finger grips, and THEN push the applicator in the back so the tampon goes up in there far, and you won't even feel it! Maybe it leaked a tiny bit because also it wasn't in far enough and it was right there close to your underwear and came out on them a little bit. Anyways I hope this helped!

Maybe you just put it in wrong. Just try try again. If you feel anything, then you didn't put it in far enough or at the right angle.

You shouldnt be able to feel it at all. You need to try putting it in further, Don't worry if it takes you many times. It took me about four tries to get it right. Just relax, it can't go too far up. Tampax Plastic is good to use so stick to those.

Also, you should use the lowest absorbency you can get away with, in order to avoid toxic shock syndrome. Try using the slender version.
And yes, it takes practice. You should not feel it at all.

Don't worry the first times always hard.It took me a couple trys.Just try again and get it at the right angle. You'll get the hang of it soon.

try the silk ones..they are more comfortable...for heavy periods i think you should use a pad.
