Hormones...could it be the IUD?!
Question: I got an IUD a couple of years ago and ever since have been suffering with very oily skin and I get breakouts...on my neck and upper back right around that time of month....Ick! Could it be because of the hormone levels from my IUD and what can I do to stop the breakouts. I have tried acne bodywash and anything else i could think of, it just won't go away. Please help, I can't stand it anymore.
BTW please don't tease or demean in any way. I never dealt with this problem before and could really use some advice on the subject.

It could be the IUD that has changed your hormones. I would recommend seeing a dermatologist about this problem - they are your best option - it could be as simple as changing the type of body wash you use to something like Clearasil or something compatible with your skin...just talk to a dermo and see what's right for you. Or you could have the IUD removed. But, I would see the dermo first, it'll be cheaper! :)
Is it the Mirena IUD? That has hormones--specifically, an artificial progesterone. Acne is listed as a known side effect. So it could be the Mirena. There are other IUDs you can have that have no hormones, so you could change if you liked.
