Postglandins, the hormones that cause you to have your period, can also cause contractions in your digestive system, which can result in diarrhea. I usually get this the day before my period. I take Immodium AD for the diarrhea, and Aleve or Advil for the pain, and together, these medicines make that time of the month much more bearable. Make sure you drink plenty of water, so you won't get dehydrated.

If your symptoms are severe, ask your doctor or gynecologist about them. One option for you would be to go on the birth control pill, which usually makes a woman's periods less bothersome. It's okay to go on the pill even if you aren't sexually active.

its your hormones i used to get it to dont worry.

I used to have exactly the same and my periods were so heavy and the pain was awful. I got a Mirena coil fitted 2 years ago and my life has changed as I hardly get periods at all now and I don't get PMT or the other side effects. Ask your doctor about getting a coil perhaps.

i used to have the same problem,i went to docs, they gave me tablets for the pain, and its alot better, when u have them u dont think about it so much

diarrhoea is quite common with painfull periods and can often be accompanied by nausea and headaches. There are medications that you can take to help you out.

Sounds a bit serious, think you should go to the docs. Just to be on the safe side, it's not something you prob want to talk about but you should hear a professional opinoin, Good luck & Merry Christmas

diarrhoea is heredity as it usually runs in the jeans
