Ovulation times?!

Question: I was just wondering
when does a girl ovulate?
Is it 14 days after her first day of her period?
if so, does this mean that (for example) if a girl first has her pediod on December 12th, then she will have her period for aout 7 days (making that december 19) and will be infertile for about 7 more days, making that december 26th?
Basically, if a girl has sex the day after her period ends, is the risk of getting pregant lower?

This is what is referred to as the "rhythm method" of contraception - taking a guess at when she might be ovulating and avoiding intercourse during that time. Of course it's not terribly effective if the woman has a longer or shorter menstrual cycle than what is considered normal, or if she simply ovulates at an irregular time.

Ovulation occurs approximately mid-way between the two menstrual periods...however long that cycle is.

Ovulation occurs about 14 days before period starts.
Your swimmers can live up to 7 days in right environment so theoretically she can get pregnant if you have unprotected sex right after her period.

Yes, the chance is lower... but of course there is always a possibility yada yada

It's definitely different for every girl

Every girl is different, but usually the ovulation process starts from 12 to 15 days after the first day of the period. Having sex the day after the period is over might be the safest day to have sex with the lowest risk of pregnancy. Again, every girl is different so your girl should learn a bit more about her body, that way she will be able to notice the changes of her body during ovulation. Good luck and use protection!!
