How do I start taking my birth control pills?!
Question: Ok so I have never taken birth control pills before and don't really know much about them. I just obtained my first pack of ortho-tricyclen pills. I started my period last sunday ( about 6 days ago) and I don't know what color to start taking... I know the instructions say to start with a white pill the first day of your period so do I start at number 6? I'm soo confused can someone please help me?! Thanks!

if you started your period last sunday you should be finished around now, so start this sunday. As in you should take the FIRST WHITE PILL this sunday and then just fallow the package.
Don't start at number 6. Wait till your next period to start, and then you can go with the order you have. It won't hurt you to start now, but it'll really throw you off for a few months.
You should not be taking any medicine that you dont know anything about. I think you need to go back to your doctor, or where ever you got the med's from, and simply ask them to explain them to you a little better.
If you try taking them and end up doing it wrong they arent going to be as effective anyway.
Always start with the first pill!
