Could I get pregnant 2 days after taking the morning after pill?!

Question: I took the morning after pill and two days later when I had sex the condom broke...Is there a chance I could still get pregnant or would this months egg be destroyed?

It doesn't "destroy eggs". It is supposed to delay ovulation until all the sperm inside you from the unprotected sex are dead. So it only protects you from the one act, not every one that comes after it for the rest of the month. It's also only about 90% effective.

You put more sperm in, and you don't know if or when you ovulated, so yes, you could be pregnant.

You are very unlucky to have two emergencies in one month. You need a more effective form of regular birth control.

theres no chance

No matter what form of birth control you use there's always a chance of getting pregnant. The only way not to get pregnant is by not having sex. The morning after pill will have much less effect 2 days after taking it since it's supposed to be taken after having sex for full effect. Even then, there's still a chance of pregnancy.

Honestly...If you had to take the morning after pill then you should NOT have had sex two days later. I had to take the morning after pill and it made me think twice about having sex without 2 forms of barriers such as birthcontrol and condoms. You need to be a little bit more responsible with your actions.

And the answer is No.

It's very unlikely given that the pill probably delayed ovulation and changed you lining, but I guess it could be possible cos you never know. I don't think you're meant to take the morning after pill again so soon though so all you can do is wait it out. You will probably be safe, good luck.

it could be, but for everytime you have sex there is a chance.. this time go to a clinic or just take a test..

the morning after pill is meant to stop fertilization not ovulation...it only works when u take it after sex not before...it has probably worked for the original purpose that you took it for...as with all pills there is a certain amount of time that it takes for it to be cleared from your system and i believe that this time frame has passed already....

what you should do is take the mornig after pill again and start using other forms of birth control sucj as a condom or the pill..

sex is supposed to be with someone you love not the one you lust. there is a good possibility of pregnancy but a better chance of an STD. better get checked!!!

YES once your egg is effected by the sperm the morning after pill is useless
