It's very rare, just change your tampons regularly (every 6-8 hours) and you won't get it. However, if you want to use tampons that don't have the risk of TSS then use Natracare. The natracare tampons are made out of 100% cotton so there is no risk of TSS. Best of luck!

but not many people leave tampons in for more than eight hours sooo
