Coming off the depo?!

Question: I was on the depo for about a year and come off about a year ago. Moved to the pill and stopped after month. i was pregnant 5 months later and miscarried.
The next period i got - on time, 4 weeks later i took the depo again. But forgot to go back 1 month later. Used rythem method for a week or so but havent had sex since.
worried as i havent had a period since august. was wondering if anyone else has had complications when coming off or should i be worried?

Your descriptions of time are a little confusing, but I'll try to get this all straight and you can say if what I'm going to say next is correct. You were on depo for a year, the pill for a month immediately after that, then on nothing and pregnant, then a month after miscarrying, back on depo. Correct? And how long were you on depo the second time? From your description, it seems like you were only on it for a month, but you do not need to get a second shot for three months (and you'll still be protected). It is also very normal for you to be late or skip periods while on depo and for a while after getting off depo. When was your last shot? How long since you had the week of unprotected sex? Was this sex before or after your last period?

Using the rythm method PERFECTLY will give you a 20% chance of pregnancy, so I do not know how well you stuck to that, but there could be a chance of getting pregnant from that. Have you taken a pregnancy test yet?

If you are not pregnant, not on depo, and not getting a period, then go see your doctor and tell them what is going on.
