Why is my period so long?!
Question: i've been on my period for 14 days now,i dont know why.I'm 14 and have been having periods since i was about 12.I know i need to see a doctor and my moms been talking about birth control to regulate it.Does anyone know if this is normal to have such long periods?im so confused and it gets annoying having such long periods.please help me

I am an emergency physician. You need to see a doctor for examination and testing. Your symptom is called "dysfunctional uterine bleeding" and can be caused by a number of different conditions. It can often be treated easily with female hormones, but a physician needs to rule out serious problems first. Don't rely on the internet; go see a doctor.
That's not healthy. See a doctor. Your mom is right. Birth control will deffinately help you regulate your periods.
it is completely normal for your periods to act a little crazy right now. Yaz birth control was designed to give women shorter periods. Birth control will be a good way to shorten them. If your mom is willing to let you try it then do it.

It's not normal to have such a long period, and your mom is right, that birth control pills can put a stop to that.
No its not normal to have it that long, I would call your doctor and have a check up. Maybe ask about going on the pill to regulate you a bit more.
