No you don't have to go to the gyno when you start your period. Most gals wait until they are sexually active, or if you are wanting to get birth control to regulate your period or something of that nature.
You have plenty of time to worry about the first gyno visit. I know it seems pretty scary, but you have to think, it's the doctors job, he/she does is many times a day, and sees ALL kinds of stuff - the good, bad, and ugly.
You are young and have much time before you need to go, and even when you do I'm sure a nice young person would be a pleasant change from their day to day routine. Just take a look at the people in the waiting room of doctor's offices.

It is not necessary to see you gyn after you start your period, but you can if you want. Most woman start seeing one after they engage in sexual intercourse and become sexually active. However it's not a bad idea to see one, they can give you information and help you understand your body better. It isn't necessary but might be beneficial for you.

No, you can't goes the gynecologist. Because, you're not old enough goes there. You will have to wait till18. You can goes to your family doctor. You need talk your mom first, she will be happy taking you to the doctor. Your mom will take care for you. Wishing you Happy Holiday.

you do not have to go to the gynecologist. A lot of girls go before they are sexually active because the doctor can make sure you are in good health and explain what your body is going thru. You don't have to go. If you parents want you to go that is not abnormal some parents do and some don't. Also, the person who said you have to be over 18 is wrong, talk to your parents about this - you will feel better :-)
there is no need to go .But if you are sexually active you should go . there's never any problem in going and sorting off the doubts lingering in your mind. . ......
