Is there any way for a plus sized woman to find a supportive bra that doesn'!

Question: I have been fitted at specialty shops and they always make me get an underwire and it HURTS! Even though I have been measured, the bra always feels too tight. Are they suppose to fit this way?

I am 39 and have just been going without... but due to gravitational pull, I figure I should start wearing one again once in a while. Is there an easy way to transition into this evil constraint device?

Oh yeah, they also give me a nice rash where the material rubs around the Torso. (not the straps) Any suggestions on this?

A new innovative bra made from nothing but pantyhose that is being released out on the buyer's market next month by SPANX.

Say bye-bye to back bulges and red marks, and say hello to comfort and support - this is the best bra that I can think of that will help you with your problem.

i use sports bras those work well for me

I'm not a big fan of underwire, so I stick with the wire free bras. And I'm a 42D. They're not the sexiest bras in the world, but the playtex 18 hour bras are nice. Also check out stores like Fashion Bug and Lane Bryant that have bras specificially for plus-sized women. Lane Bryant's cacique line has some very pretty bras to choose from. Also onehanesplus.com has a nice selection of larger size bras that are both underwire and wirefree.

I would also suggest getting remeasured. A bra that fits correctly shouldn't be giving you a rash or causing pain. You can do it yourself. The last time I was measured in a store, they gave me a size that was available at the store, not my real size. There are two ways to do it. The first way is to measure right under your armpits, that will give you the same number for your band size and then measure the fullest part of your bust. The difference between the two numbers will give you your cup size 1=A, 2 = B, 3 = C, etc.

The second way, the more popular way is to measure right underneath your bust at the top of the ribcage and then adding 4 to the number if it's even or 5 if it's an odd number. And then measuring your bust and finding the difference between the two numbers to find your cup size.

If you still want to try to wear the bras you've already bought, you can by bra extenders at Sears, Target, basically anywhere that has a linger section. The extenders will extend the band part that's causing irritating and get rid of that tight feeling.

I like their brand and they are shown on the link as following. http://lanebryant.charmingshoppes.com/pa...
I have the same problem with the sides. I find them comforting and gives me firm looking in the front.

You enter the sizes and they will come out with pictures with descriptions. The BEST thing about it is most of them at 50% off. How can you get better than that?

EDIT: I must agree with Ie VicSter... however its costly, I think I will try one too.

Can you wear a sport bra. It might be helpful for you?

yes but just get used to it. mine did at first but you soon get used to it and then it doesnt anymore.im thinking you mean when you put your armpit down on the wire bit and then it digs in?

I have found that i love the bra's that lane bryant make.....they are very comfyj..and they do have ones w/o wire..thats what i buy.

Why are you asking such questions / enquiries, in public on 'TV' or , specially 'My Yahoo', I appologise / regret such questions?
