Being Older Single & Family Is Gone?!
Question: What exactly do you do when you have never been married & your family is all dead and you sooner or later might get sick & have to go to a hospital. Might even be for regular test at certain ages. Just routine stuff. Who takes you to the hospital & stays with you & takes you home? Who stays with you for a couple days until the drugs wear off? My cousin who is from out of town is in the same situation & we were talking about it He owns a Radio Station & I have Rental property, so don't say that we should live together. That is out of the question. What do older single people do that do not have anybody & the time comes for help? Neither of us has any close friends or neighbors. Friends are gone too & others too busy.

Maybe what you need to do is take the time to make new friends, and maybe take the time to invest in a roommate or try to find a partner. If you want to live out the rest of your life alone, then you have to deal with the problems that you have but if you want to be among the living and be with people then you have to make the time. I know there are a lot of days that I wish things between my husband and I were better, but on the other hand I certainly am glad that I still have him and I know that when needed he is there and I am there for him, I know I wouldn't want to be alone and would do anything to try to change it. Try to join a singles group and maybe you'll find someone compatible and reliable and then you will want to be there for them and them for you. Good Luck

i dont know. i do know that as far as listing a next of kin you can name this cousin as yours. he is not there to come help you but he may be called and asked for his direction if needed.
