Why does a woman's vagina has a hair ?!

Question: To attract a man; basically.

Answers: To attract a man; basically.

sure have hair, even your dicks have hair. what is so alarming about it? If no hair, then it maybe easy to get a cold. Haha.

Helps protect it from friction, and helps to retain the odors that act as pheromones to attract males.

Some scientists think it prevents chafing (same reason it is in the armpits, probably), I have seen one claim that it discourages "critters" (ticks, etc.), but it doesn't seem likely to me.

But in general terms, hair is also a sexual signal, like a man's beard, traditionally, according to scientists. It requires protein to make hair, so someone who grows long hair clearly has access to protein (good hunter or gatherer). This is similar to the colors in bird feathers (that are created from protein) and the length of peacock feathers (which attracts mates, but otherwise puts the male at some risk of predation), or the mane of a lion. "Sexual selection" traits are quite common in nature.
In Japan, pubic hair is traditionally considered a sign of virility. But in modern society (especially US) these traditional signals are often wiped out by cultural factors. Young men watching american adult films seem to increasingly want their partners without such hair. Likewise, despite the number of long-haired men on "bodice-ripper" romance novels, the "clean-cut" or bald look in men seems increasingly popular in the US.
