In today's day and age you are definitely not over-weight which is why people get upset when they wonder why you want to lose weight. I think though that it might not be a matter of weight as much as maybe a part of your body that you think is protruding and if you lost a couple of pounds it would go away. A lot of young girls think they have a pouch in they bottom tummy, or they think their butt is a little to big, or maybe it their thighs, if that is the case, then quit using the term, I want to lose a couple of pounds, try to figure out how to shape up a certain body part, then they will understand that much more and they will not get so crazy on you. To many young women have died without enough people caring about them to help them back from the edge, you have people that do, so let them

You are very underweight according to your bmi. You seriously need to gain weight if you lose weight you could end up with serious health problems

my doctor says I am underweight I am 18 and I am 5'8 and I weigh 105.

you are already underweight,5.8" weight should be 160 lb.dont go sick by loosing more weight.

Doctors have devised a system to easily discern if someone is at a healthy or unhealthy weight. It's called Body Mass Index (BMI). According to standard BMI charts (see http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/), your BMI is 17.9. Anything below 18.5 is unhealthily underweight. Do you understand? You are not just skinny, you are so skinny that it could be harmful to your health. Sometimes, if EVERYONE thinks one thing, and independent, medically supported data demonstrate that same thing to be true, then the reason is that IT IS TRUE! Now, that you are unhealthily underweight is troubling. But even MORE troubling is that you actually want to lose more weight! You are too skinny as it is! You are headed for big trouble if you continue down this path! Leave this path before it becomes even more difficult to leave; before you have done permanent damage to your body! Have you ever seen the movie A Beautiful Mind? In the movie, the lead character, played by Russell Crowe, believes there is a vast conspiracy. He also believes he works for a spy agency, and he has a best friend who follows him everywhere, played by Paul Bettany. Ultimately, it becomes clear that he is schizophrenic and delusional--the conspiracy, the spy agency, Paul Bettany--are all hallucinations brought on by his mental illness. Now here's what you have to understand: you are like the Russell Crowe character in that your belief that you have a few pounds to lose; your belief that everyone ELSE is deluded in thinking that you are anorexic, are actually delusions on your part. You DON'T have pounds to lose. You ARE anorexic, or on the fast track to being so, if you do not seek help now. People are bugging you because they care about you. Because they want to help you. Because they don't want to see you making this enormous mistake of becoming obsessional about food and weight. Please, please, please seek help.
