Pill effectiveness reduced?!


Question: I'm taking Ortho Cyclen Oral contraceptive. I Just started my placebo pill week. About 8-9 hours after taking the last active pill i got mild diarrhea. Now, while I'm on my placebo week, I have severe diarrhea. Is the effectiveness of the pill reduced b/c I have diarrhea on the placebo week?

No, it's not reduced. You're taking the placebo pill each day to remind you to take the pill , that's all. You should start your period on the placebo week.
