Has anyone ever had a vaginal biopsy done?!

Question: if so what are/were side effects of this procedure? and how long do they last?

Thyere are small snips of pain during procedure. Not a severe pain, just a little snip here and there that hurts a little and is uncomfortable leaving you with lots of butterfly feelings in your stomach. After leaving, expect a little cramping. Pretty much just like a bad period cramp. It doesn' last too long though. I can't remember how many hours it took to stop cramping. I just know it wasn't anything that lasted till the next day or anything. I drove myself home afterward and took some tylenol. Maybe if you take some Tylenol before going in it will lessen the cramps you experience. I wish I had someone to tell me that then. :) The doc told me I might have some spotting for a few hours but I didnt.

Not a fun visit, but important and worth going. I had 8 biospies done that day and it turned out to be absolutely nothing. But you never know. My paps have come back clear for years now thank God.

Good luck!

Generally just some minor bleeding. No other side effects.

noooooooooooooo

none. A minor discomfort and some bleeding, i'd rather say spotting , if any.

just some bleeding wont last long . and you will be back up doing everything fast.

I think every papsmear is a version of an vaginal biobsy. So even if yours will include screens for something else it should just be as fast as a regular Papsmear.

Yes I have, I had no side effects but you might need a pain reliever after for a couple of times. The procedure itself was fairly quick 5? minutes after the initial start of procedure.

such a thing i hope u r not asking this for some no well ..

I had one done on my cervix and it hurt like hell. it didn't last very long but it still hurt and i wouldn't want to do it again unless i had too. afterward i just had some spotting and a little cramping but it was only for a little while.
