Okay this is my last cartilage questoion.?!

Question: okay i did a whole lot of research on the whole 'shattering the cartilage' and 'infections' topic and im convinced on the needle. no questions asked. and im sure i can convince my mother of the needle also.. but there is ONE final question

WHAT CAN I DO TO MAKE HER SAY YES???

ive used the
-im in all honors classes
-i have never made a C
-i deserve it
&&
-its a great christmas gift

but shes still saying
-looks trashy
-i dont want you to regret it
-i CANNOT say yes to a 13 year old about this
&&
-13 is too young to have that done.

WHAT CAN I SAY TO HER?

i have talked to her about how well i will clean it. i have proven to her that i take good care of my piercings because i have double peircings and nothing has gotten infected yet.

Woohoo another piercing wanter!

I want my lip piered but my mom keeps saying no and I get straight A's

If you find something that works you have to tell me.

Maybe you could just do it yourself that's what I was gonna do...

Sometimes Moms just say No to say No.
Ask her again later.
Preferably after she has eaten and is drowsy.
But not before the kitchen has been cleaned.

My daughter who is also 13, now 14, wants her cartilage done. Absolutely not I said esp. at 13. I must say as much research as you have done, being an RN i have seen a thing or too and those cartilage piercings are not good to have at an early age. Just wait its not worth it, not yet anyway. The Tongue is the other mistake people make.

Now my daughter doesnt even want it because most of the people that have them now are ewwie she says. Considered EMO. Wait and think more.

Appearance is everything

USING A PIERCING GUN:
okay, so i went to go get this done..but chickend out. my younger sister (12) has the highest pain tolerance, you could probably beat her up and she wouldnt feel a thing! well anyways she said it was so painful, and it was probably the worst experience of her life after it got infected. even tho she did look after it, sometimes hair gets caught up at the back of the post and you get a puss ball. she still has it pierced and ocasionally puts it in but, she says if dont put the earing in right it kills.

NEEDLE:
my other friend also got it done but with a needle and she said it hurt but not to bad, she hasent had many problems other than playing sports she needs to take it out. but this is way more expensive a gun would cost up 10 8-20$
needle:30-80$ depends were you go

if you want her to say yes
just prove it to her, dont whine and complain
and dont say "well everyone else has one"
also tell her its not a permanent situation like a tattoo and if she dosent like it you can take it out
also do lots of research and tell her what you know so you sound mature

You won't like my answer, but honestly your mom has your best intersest at heart. What you can do though is show her how mature you can be by practicing patience. Time may show her that you still want it later, you will eventually be 14, (maybe she's ok with it then). It will also give you time to point out people or show her pictures of people that have had it done AND it not looking trashy on. Good luck.

After she says no a few more times, you'll probably just grow out of it and not want it anymore. I used to want that industrial bar in my ear, and after my mom said no a few million times, I realized I didn't even want it anymore. Maybe you'll be the same way...
